After 19 years as Managing Director of Tidyco, Rob Brown will be retiring at the end of 2015, bringing to an end a remarkable career within the hydraulics and pneumatics Industry.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank Rob for his outstanding contribution to Tidyco over the last 19 years. Rob has had a huge influence over the business during his time as MD and as such the business has grown from a loss making position in 1997 when he joined, to our current healthy profitable position today. Rob and I will remain in close contact and his involvement with Tidyco will continue on an ad hoc basis going forward.

James Tidy - Director Tidyco Ltd.

Rob joined Tidyco in January 1997 and promptly set about redefining the company’s sales strategy. Using the advantage of Tidyco’s manufacturing facility in Derby (the country’s rail capital) Rob decided to steer the company towards the rail industry and with the help of Paul Jacks (Director of Tidyco Rail Division) the company has grown to its current position.

Over the past 19 years Rob has seen the opening of four new divisions; Climate Control (HVAC installations and Repair), Pneumatics (Supply, Manufacture and Overhaul), Hose Doctor (Mobile Hose Replacement) and the Tidyco Rail division – offering Overhaul, Re-Engineering and Supply to the UK and European Rail Markets.

James Tidy who has been working alongside Rob for the past 16 years will take up the position of MD as of January 2016. Rob is not completely detaching himself from Tidyco, he will remain in close contact with the business and will play a role in key decisions moving forward (in between his golf trips to Portugal).

Throughout his 19 years serving as MD to Tidyco Rob has been an absolute pleasure to work with, a truly influential figure who has cemented his name in the history of Tidyco Ltd.
