Tidyco heads off to Parliament
Derby-based Tidyco, a supplier of hydraulic and pneumatic products to the UK rail industry for over 40 years; attends the Rail Forum East Midlands Parliamentary Reception.

Through its on-going collaboration with industry body Rail Forum East Midlands, Tidyco recently attended a Parliamentary Reception. Held at the House of Commons Terrace Pavilion on Wednesday 7th February 2018, the annual event was once again hosted by Pauline Latham MP and represented a productive opportunity for rail companies to keep up to speed with latest industry events as well as communicate a shared voice regarding future progression in rail.

Phil Mason and David Tidy of Tidyco represented the brand at SME level as a trusted supplier to the rolling stock OEM and overhaul markets.

With over 200 attendees, the reception acted as a collective display of ideas generation and forward thinking discussions. Equally important was the opportunity to communicate the necessity of encouraging the younger generation into the industry whilst addressing required skills.

Phil comments; “The RFEM Parliamentary Reception was highly productive whereby I was able to propose areas for educational improvements so as to ensure adequate training and skills are provided to a younger generation keen to forge a career within both the rail industry as well as wider realms of engineering.”

The Midlands was portrayed as a hub of rail industry excellence whilst also being a great place to live, work and invest.
