Significant investment has been made in the installation of LED lighting across all of Tidcyo's facilities. These new lighting systems require less energy but emit more light than standard fluorescent tubes. In addition to this, they include movement sensors meaning they only come on when they need to.
Tidyco has invested massively into its solar power. There are currently 120 solar panels installed on the roof of both units, which Tidyco occupies, with more in the pipeline, which will be installed above the recently-acquired, adjacent building, Unit 6. This will house the Tidyco Rail Overhaul Facility. Furthermore, any power not consumed is fed back into the grid.
As part of Tidyco's commitment to give back to the community, Production Director Philip Mason has been spearheading a project called Toolbox Challenge, which is aimed at schools in the local area and is designed to give both girls and boys an introduction into STEM subjects and find the next generation of engineers.
