SmarTrack are award winning specialists in stolen vehicle tracking devices, covering; Plant Machinery, Marine & Off-Road Vehicles, LCV, HGV and Motorcycles. As part of a major renovation SmarTrack expanded their operations into a new facility located in Leicestershire to house their new Secure Global Telemetrics Control Centre.

The new headquarters required a complete renovation of a number of old industrial units, part of the renovation required a cost effective HVAC solution. Budget was key in this project and SmarTrack were looking to find a supplier and installer who could offer long term cost savings, that would pay off over time.

Tidyco won the tender for this work against two other HVAC companies, SmarTrack Managing Director James Mather recalled “We invited tenders from three companies and selected Tidyco on the basis of their ability to add value to the project within our budgets. As they use our trackers there was also an existing relationship, which was reassuring from a security perspective”.

Tidyco Climate Control Director David Hithersay added “The project called for high performance units that could be supplied within a strict budget. The Midea units are ideal as they have a proven track record of reliability and are also competitively priced – backed by Powrmatic‘s technical support.”

In total, Tidyco installed five Midea Heat Pump Inverter Controlled Units in the new offices, and one more unit in the server room. In addition to the installation, Tidyco supplied a number of portable Midea Air Conditioners for use in the stock room – these units are heat pump driven & fully portable, costing just pennies to run.

James Mather continued; “We have been very pleased with the units, which proved effective in supplying warm conditioned air throughout the 2014/15 winter and will keep us comfortable during the upcoming summer”
