British Chamber Recognition

Hot off the heels from the recent Excellence in International Trade win at the East Midlands Chamber of Commerce Business Awards; Derby-based Tidyco, a supplier of hydraulic and pneumatic products to the UK rail industry for over 40 years has been successful in reaching Regional Winner stage through the British Chamber of Commerce.

Tidyco was recognised at the East Midlands Chamber of Commerce Derbyshire 2018 Business Awards for its commitment towards global expansion. Held on the 7th September 2018 at Pride Park Stadium, Tidyco was successful in securing a win within the Excellence in International Trade category.

Regional Winners for the British Chamber of Commerce Awards were announced on the morning of 24th September 2018 with the Ceremony to be held on the 29th November at Tobacco Dock, London.

Regional Winners from each category are now in the running to scoop Business of the Year status. Tidyco’s Head of Marketing Barry Aldridge, comments:

“Tidyco is absolutely thrilled to have reached Regional Winner status through the British Chamber of Commerce.

I have been in discussions with the East Midlands Chamber whereby we both agree this is excellent recognition and kudos for the region. There is a great deal of industrious activity taking place throughout the East Midlands, especially when considering the continuing East Midlands Gateway development.

International trade is of increasing importance to the local business community and Tidyco is proud to be recognised for its global endeavours.

Digital technology plays a critical role towards export success whereby the Tidyco marketing function continues to develop digital innovations so as to supply clients all over the world.

As an example, I am currently working towards the integration of chatbot technology with translation capability to the online store. The idea being that customer communication can take place 24/7/365 to an international audience.

Automation will effectively make the management of enquiries more efficient with simpler requests being answered appropriately whilst more complex tasks can be allocated to the appropriate member of staff.

The technology will allow international clients to be directed towards Tidyco’s dedicated Export Manager during GMT working hours. The chatbot facility will also accommodate for time differences whereby communication continues outside of UK office time.”

Tidyco is one of four small to medium enterprises from the East Midlands region to reach Regional Winner stage and the company wishes all Winners the very best of luck.

Aldridge concludes:
“This is also excellent recognition for the East Midlands Chamber of Commerce who work tirelessly to deliver a best in class membership service.

The Chamber has been pivotal towards supporting myself within a plethora of marketing projects over the past few years, consisting of; developing a digital solution for a major insurer through the visualisation of a real time claims app, investigating digital routes to China as well as providing support towards activating automated chat technology in an international language.”
