Tidyco successfully renews SafeContractor
Derby-based Tidyco, a supplier of hydraulic and pneumatic products to the UK rail industry for over 40 years has successfully renewed SafeContractor accreditation.

The SafeContractor scheme is a SSIP-approved health and safety assessment scheme for contractors who want to demonstrate that they're taking responsibility for their legal health and safety requirements.

Additional to rolling stock overhaul, the Tidyco service provision consists of an on-site HVAC system design, installation and planned maintenance offering as well as hydraulics/pneumatics and emergency, mobile hydraulic hose replacement Divisions. Understandably, best working practices regarding Health & Safety becomes a critical success factor when working remotely.

Tidyco clients are diverse, ranging from schools and care homes all the way through to construction sites. A duty of care towards vulnerable children and adults as well as on-site workers is paramount. Equally important is the need to protect Tidyco employees.

Being SafeContractor certified helps to mitigate potential risks throughout the supply chain thus; empowering Tidyco to instil confidence to its customer portfolio whilst demonstrating competency towards working in a consistently effective and safe manner.

Accreditation requires an extensive external audit so as to ensure compliance.
