Barry Aldridge FCIM – Head of Marketing for Tidyco and DIT Midlands Engine Export Champion for 2019
Derby-based Tidyco, a supplier of hydraulic and pneumatic products to the UK rail industry for over 40 years, has been awarded DIT Midlands Engine Export Champion kudos.

On the 30th January 2019, Tidyco received an official letter from Ian Harrison – DIT Head of Exports for the Midlands Region, inviting the organisation to become a 2019 Department for International Trade (DIT) Midlands Engine Export Champion.

The award is in recognition of the company's contribution to the economic growth of the region whereby Tidyco will take part in keynote speaking at seminars and workshops; telling the story of how the organisation has been and continues to be successful in exporting. Other roles will include roundtable discussions as well as participating within DIT strategies.

Barry Aldridge FCIM – Head of Marketing for Tidyco comments; “It was a genuine honour to receive the invitation from Ian Harrison. Tidyco has collaborated incredibly closely with the DIT over the past few years whereby 2018 witnessed the company gaining exceptional traction with regards to an ambitious China Export project.

All support and training provided by the DIT has been superb whereby I firmly believe in working as one partnership with all stakeholders.

Tidyco also continues to enjoy ongoing success with wider Far East exporting as well as substantial trading initiatives with the USA. As such, the company has appointed a dedicated Export Account Manager.”

The official launch of the Midlands 2019 Export Champions was held at the Ricoh Arena, Coventry on Thursday 4th April 2019 whereby attendees were informed that they had been handpicked by Government for the role.

Aldridge concludes; “I feel ever so proud to live in the Midlands whereby the region is presented with substantial opportunities regarding international trade.”
